Music should always be a safe and inclusive environment and activity for all, and that's why we strive to be an orchestra that is welcoming to anyone who wishes to be a part of our music-making family.

It is our goal to be an orchestra that promotes tolerance, respect, and diversity.

Ready to join us?

To become a member of the orchestra, interested musicians should be prepared to demonstrate ability on their instrument. This may include prepared music, as well as a live audition. Recommendations from current orchestra members are welcome.

Seating in the orchestra is to be determined by the Music Director.

Wind, Brass, and Percussion seats in the Northport Symphony Orchestra are dependent on programming and availability of music.

String players are always encouraged to seek membership.
